Women's Basketball Team Training

The question we most often hear from womens basketball coaches and player is "what do I have to do to get better, get faster, jumper higher, better jump shot"? My response is always the same....get stronger! The biggest failing at the high school level for female athletes is lack of strength or failure to commit to an off season and in season strength program. Speed skills are important but with out strength we have no speed.
Womens athletics also fight the myths of women lifting weights:
- Women can’t get strong
- Strength training will make women look bulky and masculine
- Women should avoid high-intensity training or high-load training
- Women should train differently than men
- Women only need to do cardio and if they decide to lift weights, they should be very light.
Evolution Sports Performance Womens Basketball Team Training Program is designed to accomplish goals that will set teams apart from their competition. These five goals are the pillars for success in any season.
