Men's Basketball Team Training

They are fast, agile and lean, and they also have excellent endurance and powers of recovery.  A typical NCAA Division I player can complete the 40 yard speed test in under 5 seconds and can jump over 70cm in the vertical jump test making them exceptionally powerful and quick. It's no surprise that strength conditioning and plyometric training composes an important part of elite players' training. Both strength and power training has been consistently shown to improve speed, acceleration and jumping ability.

Other than strength, speed and power, basketball players must possess excellent endurance. Whereas a distance runner or cyclist requires excellent low-intensity aerobic endurance, basketball players are expected to repeat multiple high-intensity activities with minimal rest periods. Speed endurance becomes an important factor.

Evolution Sports Performance Mens Basketball Team Training Program is designed to accomplish goals that will set teams apart from their competition.  These five goals are the pillars for success in any season.

Each Evolution team training program package includes the following:

  1. 8 weeks of high intensity training at one of our sites or yours
  2. Options for two(2) or three(3) sessions per week
  3. Customized to address team weaknesses
  4. Goal setting for each eight week revolution
  5. Pre and Post testing for each athlete
  6. Statistical reporting and attendance for the head coach
  7. Report card given to each athlete
